Karen Hammerstedt                Karen Hammerstedt Engeman, 6l, Bend, Ore., formerly of Duluth, died Jan. 28, 2007 in her home. She was born in Duluth on March 10, 1945 to Roy and Lucile Hammerstedt. Karen married Rodney Engeman in Duluth on June 29, 1963 and moved to Bend, Oregon 23 years ago. She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, metal art, knitting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Karen also had a private pilots license and was a scuba diver. She is survived by her husband; sons, Nathan, Portland, Ore., David, of Bend, Ore.; parents; brother, Roy Hammestedt, State College, Penn.; and sister, Emily Krohn, of Webster Groves, Mo.
