Robert 'Bob' Wendell Hendrickson, 63, of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. He was born in Duluth in 1945 to Wendell and Isabelle (Fernett) Hendrickson. Bob attended Elim Lutheran Church as a child. He was a 1963 Denfeld High School graduate. He was a United States Air Force Vietnam veteran. Following the war, Bob moved to Florida where he was employed with I.B.M. He returned to Duluth and began employment with Telephone Associates. For the past 25 years, he has been employed with Murphy Oil as a Pump Technician. Bob was a member of the Euclid Masonic Lodge 198 AF&AM, Scottish Rite - Valley of Duluth, Aad Temple Shrine. He was also a life member of the Northland Vietnam Veteran's Association. His life's passion was exploring nature with his grandson, Tyler. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Muriel and father-in-law, Joseph Ralph. Survivors include his wife, Sandi of Duluth; daughter, Jodi (Jody) Hamilton of St. Paul; three grandchildren, Tyler, Adam and Ashlie; mother-in-law, Joan Ralph of Duluth; brother-in-law, Joseph (Debbie) Ralph of Las Vegas, Nev., and several nieces and nephews and cousins. VISITATION:5 to 7 p.m. Friday in Bell Brothers Chapel and will continue from Noon until the 1 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday. Inurnment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Duluth Combined Honor Guard. Memorials are preferred to the Northland Vietnam Veterans Association for Outreach, PO Box 16975, Duluth, MN 55816.
