Carol Lassila     Carol Jean Johnson, 57, of Rose Road, Hermantown, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, in her home.
She was born in Duluth on Dec. 12, 1945, to Uuno and Florence (Hill) Lassila. Carol was a 1963 Denfeld High School graduate and went on to attend classes at Duluth Business University. On June 19, 1965, she married Wilson Clayton Johnson in Duluth. Carol was employed with Target in the receiving department for thirty-three years, retiring in 2001.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bob and Terry Lassila; three sisters, Donna Leswick, Muriel Bogenholm and Shirley Johnson; and her step-father, Torger Anderson.
Survivors include her husband, W. Clayton of Hermantown; one son, Keith (Cheryl) Johnson of Hermantown; sister, Irene Faulhaber of California; brother, Ron (Nancy) Lassila of Duluth; one granddaughter, Nicole; her sister-in-law, Millie Warren of Cloquet; many nieces and nephews, and her special pets, Kelsey and Cosmo.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. Funeral Service Friday in Bell Brothers Chapel. Interment will be in Sunrise Memorial Park, Hermantown. Arrangements by Bell Brothers Funeral and Cremation Services. Bell Brothers Chapel, 601 N. 56th Ave. W.
