Linda Ann (Edstrom) Hampston, 68, lost her hard fought, courageous battle with Leukemia on Jan. 19, 2014.
Linda was born on July 1, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Katherine (Carlson) Edstrom moving to Duluth as a child.
She graduated from Denfeld High School in 1963 and later graduated from DBU. Linda worked more than 30 years at Minnesota Workforce Center retiring in 2011. She also enjoyed working part time at the DECC, retiring in 2013. Linda was a very active, enthusiastic gal who had many dear friends and interests.
She was a member of the Denfeld class of '63 reunion committee, 40 year member of 'Club' with all her long time dear friends, a member of 'Linda Club' with many Linda's as members. She was always doing something nice for someone and always thinking of her family and friends. She blessed us with her bright smile and loving, caring soul.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Edstrom; her stepfather, Arnold Engel; her infant brother Michael Robert Edstrom and her nephew Mike A. Clancey.
Linda is survived by her mother, Katherine E. Engel; sons, Robert (Char) Hampston and John Hampston; sister, Laurie (Mark Sinclair) Clancey; her longtime friend Kathy McKeever; many extended family members and friends as well as her beloved cat 'Lucy'.
Special thanks and gratitude to Linda's friends who were so involved in her journey, she loved you all so much.
