DANIEL ALLEN RICEDaniel A. Rice, 72, of Cloquet, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 in St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.He was born Jan. 20, 1945 in Duluth to Rolland and Dolly (Hagen) Rice and graduated from Denfeld High School.Dan served in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a fireman for the Duluth School District 709. He was a man of faith and a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cloquet where he was very involved, especially with Bible Studies. Dan also loved gardening, flowers, fishing, golfing, jigsaw puzzles, and his dogs.Dan was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Tony Rice.He is survived by his wife, Trish (Evensen) Rice; one son, Kevin (Jeanne) Rice; one daughter, LeeAnn (John) Bergman; four brothers, Gary Rice, Wayne Rice, Darryl (Joan) Rice, and Kelly (Valarie) Rice; one sister, Cathy (Chuck) Carlson; three grandchildren, Geoff Bergman, Ethan Bergman, and Piper Rice; and numerous nieces and nephews.
